PERSONAL / Graduation, Summer Plans & a New Job

Last week I finally handed in my Bachelor Thesis, which means the time has come to start blogging again, hooray! Read more about my graduation, plans for the summer and my new job by clicking on the read more button!

Summer break is finally here, hooray! Last week I handed in my bachelor thesis which means I'm finally free to enjoy the sunshine, read some books and have lots of coffee dates with friends. Within two weeks I will hear whether I've passed my bachelor thesis, and if I do, it means I'm officially graduated! I can call myself a real communication and media specialist then haha. Three days after the deadline, I went to a three-day-festival with some friends to celebrate the end of university and the beginning of summer. We had the best time and danced our socks off. As soon as I know if I passed all my courses and thus are officially graduated, I will let you know!

I also wanted to ask you if you guys would be interested in a short blogpost about the research I've done for my bachelor thesis. I know some of you asked me whether I was planning on sharing my results, so if you like I can definitely do that!

Summer Plans

I have a few fun things planned for this summer. First of all, I'll be spending a weekend in Brussels with my sister in the beginning of July. I've been in Brussels before, but it's my sister her first time so I can't wait to show her around and discover cute new places. Tips are welcome! In August I'll be spending a week in Corsica with the rest of my family. I'm really looking forward to that as I hear it's a beautiful island. I love snorkeling and supposedly you can do that there pretty well! Then, in September I'll catch some last rays of sunshine with Dylan in Tenerife. I've never been to one of the Canary Islands so I'm curious what it's like. I hope that at the end of the season it's a bit less touristy.

Besides these holiday plans I also made a short to-do list with day trips I want to take. For example, I want to visit the Rijksmuseum, spend a day on one of the Dutch islands and visit de Veluwe and Kinderdijk. And of course, I want to create some content for my blog!

New Job

Instead of immediately continuing with a Master I decided to take a gap year after my Bachelor. In 2018 I want to take a long trip to either Canada or South America and in order to do so I need to save some money. And that's where my new job comes in! You might have already heard that Hudson's Bay will be opening a couple of new stores in The Netherlands. Well, one of those will be opening in Rotterdam and I got a job there! I'll be a merchandise specialist which means I'll be mostly working behind the scenes. I won't actually be a sales person but instead I'll be receiving new collections, placing them in the store and coming up with ideas on how to improve sales. Starting from August I'll be working 3 to 4 days a week and I'm so excited to meet the whole team!

And that's it for now! I really want to create some new fashion content because it feels like it has been ages since I last showed you an outfit. Soon, I promise!
